Different types of Energy healing - which to choose? (UPDATED)

First and foremost, I would like to state clearly here that ALL energy healing modalities work. There is no one method that is better than another. It depends on the healer (giver), patient (receiver) and condition (issue).

These energy healings were once known as shamanism and faith healing (religion based). In the past, anyone in the west who practised these forms of healing work or energy work were branded witches and wizards. While the practice was quite obscure before the dawn of christianity, it was accepted that there were both white wizards and white witches as well as dark wizards and dark witches. While many viewed these practices with caution, these wizards and witches were approached when there was a need (like in healing work). Hence the many tales we have. With the onset and eventual firm footing of Christianity (or rather Catholicism) in the west, these practices were viewed with suspicion and many practitioners were executed and burnt at the stake for practising so-called dark arts. There was no differentiation by the church on white or black magic. To the church all energywork was evil because they could not comprehend it. In the east however, they were more tolerant. Shamanism (Taoist, Vedic, aborigine etc) were quite mainstream and it was widely accepted that there are both white shamans (white magic) and black shamans (black magic). Interestingly, while christianity has labeled these practitioners as evil, they themselves practice faith healing which is essentially the same.

With the coming age of Aquarius (that some say is already here), these types of ancient knowledge are coming out into the open again but called different names. The most popular and widespread energy healing modality is Reiki. While Reiki may have been officially revealed to Usui in the late 1800s or early 1900s, the technique has actually been around for thousands of years. It was merely "re-introduced" at the turn of the 20th century to Usui. From Reiki (as it is now known), many different modality has mushroomed that utilize the same fundamental methodology. The technique utilizes a "blessing" technique and the energy is from a Divine Source and it flows to wherever it is needed. A practitioner may even look like he is using faith healing. I like to call these type of healing work the Passive Intelligent Divine Source Type.

Similarly another very popular healing modality today is Pranic Healing. This technique was revealed to Master Choa a Filipino engineer of Chinese descend in the late 20th century. Pranic Healing is very different from the Reiki type. This technique is clearly more shamanic in nature involving many hand movements in addition to the blessing technique. Tools include crystal wands and the like. And the energy that it draws can be from the Divine Source or even from nature itself. Again, this technique has actually been around for thousands of years. Taoist priest in ancient China use it. Indian Shamans and Red Indian Shamans both use it. Because of it's active hand movements, a practitioner may look like a whacko to the uninformed. I like to call these type of healing work the Active Shamanic Type.

Both the passive and active types of healing modality use energy to do its work. British Trad Craft refers to this "energy" as the universal life force, the "spark of life", such as what is mentioned in the Bible, that brings "life" to every living thing. This energy is universal and should be thought of as ONE energy force, not individual life forces. Some akin this universal energy as god; others akin it to the "Universal Consciousness." It is a very powerful force that most people never think about. This energy has many names: chi, ki, prana, lifeforce etc. They are essentially the same.

We now know conclusively through science that energy can never be created or destroyed - it can only change form. We are made of energy, therefore we also cannot be created or destroyed - we just change form. Many human beings have such a fear of death, but we are eternal life that simply changes its outside form.

So which type is suitable for you? It depends on the type of person you are. Are you logical minded? Are you intuitive? Pranic Healing is suitable for those who are very logical minded because it employs a recipe book approach coupled with active hand movements. Reiki on the other hand suits those who are more intuitive (or like to feel). But this is not something cast in stone. A logical minded person may still find Reiki better and the same goes for an intuitive person, he may find Pranic Healing more suitable. It really depends on the individual. Only by trying it will you know which type you have more affinity with.

Before anyone says, "is these kind of healing work real?" let me assure you that it is very very real. How do I prove it? Refer to my posting on feeling and seeing energy. Look at your hand, we see a solid object but if you look at your hand through a powerful microscope, you will see cells. If you look into the cells, you see atoms. In the atoms, you see protons, electrons and neutrons. At that level, we already learnt from school that there is actually more empty space than protons, electrons and neutrons. So essentially, we are made up of empty space. Dig deeper and you get energy. Energy that binds all that together. So coming back to that solid hand of yours, how is it that at a deeper level we are more "empty space", and yet to the naked eye, we are a solid object? It is because the matter (protons, neutrons and electrons) are vibrating at a certain frequency. This vibrational frequency causes the naked eye to see something as solid.

BTW, at the time of the Rama empire and Atlantis, these forms of healing work are common place. And they even revolve their societies and their technology around this "life force" which was at one time called "aether".

Cleansing Negative Energies

Some people are sensitive to the unseen. They cannot explain it other then to say, "something in that place gives them the jitters" example. While most ordinary human beings are just plain insensitive to energies, there are those amongst us who are naturally more sensitive. And for these sensitive individuals, the degree of sensitivity may also differ. Some of these sensitive individuals are so sensitive, they can even tell, literally, the quality of the energy around them. While this article is not about how some people are sensitive to energies, it is about what to do if we sense negative energy permeating around the environment that we are in. And I don't mean, negative energy from a physical sense. I mean really, pervasive negative quality of energy that sends shivers down your spine. The creepy supernatural type, if you must.

Clearing Out Negative Energy (From Manor Journal)

It may not be a surprise to learn that a building, a home or office, has the ability to capture and hold negative energy. This negative energy is generated by low vibration thoughts that are expressed mentally, verbally, and even physically. Low vibration energy is produced by sadness, anger, and resentment. The presence of an accumulation of low vibrations might become evident in negative ways and can manifest in emotional and physical symptoms, such as unexplained physical discomfort, and inter-personal disharmony.  Everyone can be affected by it. In fact, thenegativity can become self-regenerating in a perpetual cycle of unhappiness.So, what do you do to clear out the negativity? There are several things you can do that are very effective.

1) Clean the house/apartment.  

If you have purchased an old or new house or apartment, make sure the home is physically cleaned. There is an old custom of using the broom from the home you are moving from, to sweep out the newly purchased home completely. The broom is then thrown out in an outside trash can. A new broom is then purchased and placed in the new home.If you have already moved in, then clean your home. Discard old items, broken items, clutter and items you no longer use. Don't forget to air-out your home, if possible. When finished, then:

2) Do a Home Purification & Blessing Ritual
This ritual contains a number of effective formula cleansers that are traditionally known as highly effective in ridding low vibration (negative) energy. These strong purification agents are:

1. fire (candles), 
2. incense, 
3. sacred water (or holy water), 
4. salt, and 
5. supplication (a prayer blessing). 

Each one has a history of being used separately for purification. All five used together creates an especially potent ritual that is highly traditional to English witchcraft. (Side note: The use of a Tibetan bowl coupled with incense is also effective. The piercing high pitch sound is very effective at cleansing out disease energies and unwanted unseen occupants)

What about an office?

Few employers will allow an employee to light a candle or incense on their desk to purify their work area. However, you can use a little sacred water (very little), salt, and/or self-protection techniques.

Other techniques like Pranic Healing's Psychic Self Defence


In Pranic Healing, practitioners are taught that thoughts and feelings produce both a thought entity and a psychic radiator field. The difference between the 2 is a thought entity  contains the exact thoughts and emotions whereas the psychic radiator field contains the quality of the thought and emotions. Make no mistake about it, a thought entity is a living being that is produced by the process of thinking. They are usually very weak and have short lifespan because most people do not know how to create a powerful thought entity. That's why most eastern religions always teach their followers to be mindful of their thoughts. A psychic radiator field can best be explained by this: have you experienced someone angry at someone else before? The angry person is angry at someone else but he affects you too correct? That's the psychic radiator field that the angry person has emitted and unintentionally affected you.


The subject of Psychic Self Defence is a huge subject and so I'll limit it to just cleansing of a space to keep it short. Anyone who desires to know more about this subject can always look up a Pranic Healer or even other Lightworkers (from other schools, they are just as effective).


Psychic Pollution and Psychic Contamination
Places such as bars, brothels, casinos and other similar establishments are usually filled with some people who unintentionally transmit dirty psychic energies. This places are surrounded with a grayish cloud when seen clairvoyantly, and are therefore psychically polluted. When you are constantly exposed to such environments, you can eventually become psychically contaminated.


It has to be said here though, people of the same "psychic" quality attract each other. Like attract like. Thats why people say it takes two to tango. If someone is angry at you, by being clam you avoid being effected psychically. However, you are only human and there are still anger energies logged into some of your chakras, so you can still be psychically penetrated.


More advanced techniques are creating shields for prevention as prevention is always better than curing. However that's not part of this write up.


Cleansing of a house or office space
According to the Pranic Healing Esoteric teachings, several items can be used for psychic cleansing, namely:

1. Psychic vacumn cleaner (a smoky quartz or tourmaline crystal in a bowl filled with 2 litres of water and a handful of rock salt). The crystal has to be properly programmed to thoroughly absorb and disintegrate dirty psychic energies and negative thought forms.
2. Place a small cactus in the room that needs to be cleansed. The spiny needles of a cactus have a certain degree of power by themselves to psychically cleanse a room. They project sharp energies which have disintegrating and cleansing effects. 30 min to 3 hours is usually sufficient to cleanse a room.
3. Certain types of incense (not all) have cleansing effect - sandalwood, sage, lavender are effective incense to use. However, it is advisable to accompany the incense with prayer to be more effective. Prayers can also be in the form of holy prayer CDs. Incense attracts points of light or minute beings of light the can follow simple instructions from our prayers. Something like, "To the beings of light, thank you for purifying this place of all dirty psychic energies, negative thoughts and emotions and negative elementals. Thank you (for doing a fantastic job)."

The above 3 methods taught by Pranic Healing teachers are just three of the simpler methods. There are other more advanced techniques that involve the practitioner manipulating the chi but these 3 would suffice for the ordinary person.


On a side note, the use of crystals in Pranic Healing involves programming of the crystal for specific purposes. This may go against some crystal esoteric school's teachings. Crystal centric schools specialize in the use of crystals and they study into depth their nature, so they would have certain techniques that are very specific to different types of crystals. I'm no expert on crystals but I'm sure that if you really want to know about crystals, they are the people to go to. Pranic Healing, on the other hand uses crystals for specific purpose of healing and in the manner that suits pranic healing methodology, that's why they do it the way they do it. In my opinion, it is just the method they employ. However, if you do want to know more about crystals, then going for a proper crystal esoteric school is best because Pranic Healing (as with other non crystal centric esoteric schools) are using crystals for a specific purpose only (hence the programming) and thus may not do justice to the subject of crystals (that's a very very wide specialized topic by itself).

Negative Energy Entities (updated)

This is another interesting article from Manor Journal. It is for those of us who want to understand Ghosts, Spirits, Energy Imprints and Demons. Enjoy...


When talking about negative energy entities, most people will first think about ghosts. Certainly, ghosts are common, but there are other energy entities you may wish to know about. In this newsletter we examine the possibilities, beginning with ghosts.

Ghosts:

Ghosts are the spirits of those that have physically died, but their soul has remained on the Earth, physical plane. Ghosts are usually harmless because they cannot physically harm you, although they can make noise and create minor problems, but this is unusual. They are usually not a negative entity although some can be.

Often a ghost is not aware or has not accepted their bodies have died. So, they can be disorientated or confused. Other ghosts are well aware they are in spirit form and have decided to remain on Earth because of a sense of duty or obligation to a loved one, or because of their attachment to the house or land.

This state is not especially healthy for the soul as it is always much better for the soul to pass on to the Other Side, to go "towards the light", as they say. On the Other Side, our friends and relatives greet us on our return. The Other Side is our true home and remaining on the Earth plane is not beneficial. Therefore, it is a good idea to encourage ghosts to go towards the light and enter to the Spirit World.

Surprisingly, a ghost will often respond to what we say. I believe we all have an ethical obligation to help ghosts when they are stuck here. They truly need our help in being directed to cross over and continue their journey to the Other Side.

When you sense a ghost around you, simply tell the ghost something like: "Are you aware you are no longer living. You are now in spirit and you need to go to the Other Side to join your family and friends. All you need to do is to go towards the light" or words to that effect.

Land Spirits:

Land Spirit, or 'genius loci', are spirits that have crossed over to the Other Side but have elected to attach themselves to a specific land area as a local spirit entity to guard it for some reason or just to "hang out". Spiritual places in Britain such as certain holy wells, lakes, mountains, stone formations, and monoliths will have a 'anima loci ' which is "the soul of a place." In olde times people would come to these spirit entities and speak to them and make offerings. It is much the same outside of Britain.

Land spirits exist everywhere. Ordinary land spirits, such as you have on your house property, are are usually neutral to current land owners. It is very rare for a land spirit to cause trouble. However, a land spirit might consider you unwelcome on "their" land. Or the land spirit may simply be unhappy for some reason, or troubled, or may like to play tricks, but this is unusual.

If you feel you may have a problem, land spirits will usually become accommodating especially if they are asked to please cooperate with a new landowner or resident. To do this, invite the land spirit (a day or so ahead of time) to come to your Compass. On the appointed day (night is better), cast a Compass Round outside and explain to the land spirit that you now live on the property, and you want their cooperation and help for yourself and your family. You should make an offering to the land spirit (wine, beer or the like). This shows that you recognize, appreciate, and respect the spirit. This approach is usually successful.

Even if the land spirit is not the problem, they can usually help you with any problem! So, asking for their help is ALWAYS a good idea.

Energy Imprint:

An energy imprints is very bad news. Thankfully, they are very rare. An energy imprint is not one entity but the residue of many spirits created by a horrible human disaster, such as a mass murder, a major military battle, or some other massive disaster involving many people. This is a separate energy force that is powerful. If you think your house on on or near an energy imprint, try to find out the source of the energy by checking your property's history or local history, although the cause is likey to be very well known locally. Historical societies can be very helpful. If you discover your house was built on or near land with an energy imprint, then most likely you will be unable to deal with the problem effectively, although you may be able to lessen its effect. But is it worth it? In my opinion it is not wise to live near an energy imprint. I must tell you that energy imprints are very strong and I believe they are mostly not correctable because there is no way to neutralize the negativity.

Demons:

It is possible but not common for a negative energy lurking about a person to be a demon. Demons are certainly more than a simple spirit. These entities are different than a ghost; they are a separate malicious spirit form.

Daemons (from the Greek "daimôn"), is the Greek word for a spirit or soul. Although malicious spirits have always existed, in folklore under the influence of Christianity, the Greek term came to be identified with these malicious spirits and church propaganda asserted that "demons" were either created by the devil or they were "fallen angels". Of course, this is not so.

But what are demons? There are several theories. Complicating this is the fact that identifying an energy as a demon may not be easy.

Some believe that often a ghost is mistaken for a demon because of the negativity surrounding some ghosts and their intentions may confuse people into believing they are demons.

Others believe that the negativity within an individual can generate an energy thought form in their own mind that only seems to be an independent entity, but is in reality a figment of their imagination. As our imaginations are quite powerful, and such mental creations come from the depths of our fears, the resulting "demon" can be powerful and frightening.

Others believe a demon is a true separate malevolent spiritual entity that normally resides in the Under World, which is one of the three realms of the Spirit World.

The ability for demons to enter our world to wreak havoc is normally very limited. However, when the entity discovers an "in" for some reason, sometimes through the negligence of playing with ceremonial magick and calling upon a demon to appear, they can enter that person's life and then feed upon the negative feelings of fear, self-doubt, confusion, anger, or jealousy and become quite a serious problem.

Of the three possibilities, I think all three are completely valid. Sometimes ghosts are mistaken for demons. Some demons are a very real illusion in the mind of the creator. While other demons are the real thing.

Final Thoughts:

Battling with negativity is never a healthy way to live your life. Where ever you choose to live, it is important that it be a positive environment.

Before deciding to pursue Energywork... (updated)

Some of us maybe at the point where we wonder is there more to it than what we have been taught all these while in religious schools. Some of us maybe searching for answers as to our existence but never could find it in the various religions around today...it's like something is missing. Some of us are searching for higher truths. Some of us are curious as to our own spirituality. Some of us never really fitted in but we can't seem to put a finger on it. The list goes on... And the idea of joining esoteric spiritual schools from simple physical yoga to meditative yoga to "energy work" may appeal to some of us in our search. However, I must say that there are issues that we need to consider before we embark on such a journey versus going for the more mainstream path which is through the various religious organizations in the world today. The former is potentially a faster path but full with pitfalls and definitely the path less trodden today. The latter is the slow path but a sure path if you practice regularly and not be dogmatic as dogma stops your growth. Which path suits a person depends on the individual. But, like I said, there are issues that need to be addressed.

I read from a traditional craft website recently on the difference that we need to understand before deciding and I thought that was a really good write up. However, that write up was more for traditional craft vs monotheist religions. The problem is that there are other religions that are not monotheist. So, I thought I did put my own up based on what I read and on my understanding.

"Energywork" is defined as the use or manipulation of energy or chi. In the past, a practitioner would be called a witch, sorcerer, wizard, shaman, medicine man, or traditional crafter. Today, this would be the practitioners of modern day energywork like Bhavapasta, Reiki, Pranic Healing (to name a few). For ease, I am just going to lump all practitioners of energywork together and call them all Lightworkers. A Lightworker would say that energywork is the use of natural abilities to influence reality. Some of us more philosophical ones would say that energywork is the transformation, alteration, or changing the form of the very essence of nature according to one's will.

Energywork can be used outside of religious context. It can also be used within the framework of religions or spiritualities that allow the use of energy manipulation. For example Taoism, Buddhism and Hinduism have many rituals (or pujas) that are mystical in nature. If one is clairvoyant, one would be able to see the immense energy that is at these rituals.

That is also the case with european traditional crafts like the Traditional Witchcraft of the British Isles. Every Traditional Witch, or Crafter, follows a particular path in pagan spirituality which reflects classical pagan ideals and which has magic as a primary element. This evolved from the nature spirituality of our ancestors. The old pagan spiritual traditions of Britain, sometimes called "Earth spirituality," has a witchcraft heritage. The old religions of Britain and magic complimented each other in a brilliant manner and provide a beautifully cohesive religious paradigm reflective of old folk culture.

Mainstream Monotheistic religions like Christianity, Islam and Judaism was never part of this. However, their inner schools like Gnosticism (Christian Mystics), Sufism (Moslem Mystics) and Kabbalah (Judaic Mystic?) are. However the mainstream "schools" are generally not aware of this and thus for most mainstreamers, it is non-existence. Well.. you do not teach your underaged child what goes on behind your closed bedroom door when you and your spouse are making love right? Making love with someone whom you love (in most cases, that would be your spouse) is the highest form of love second only to compassion (Godunconditional love) but you still don't tell your underaged child right?. Just digressing.

Anyway, here are a few ideas to ponder:

1) The application of energywork into any religious structure necessarily must assume that the religion itself does not prohibit the use of energywork (or magic or witchcraft to be more blunt).

However, mainstream monotheist religions specifically and repeatedly clearly prohibits the use of magic and witchcraft. This is stated in very clear language in scripture as well as commentaries on scripture by their respective Talmudic and Church authorities. Same goes for Islam.

Generally, monotheistic religions are revealed religions; this means the legitimacy of each religion rests solely on their sacred text, called "the word" in Christianity. They both believe their respective scriptures to be the only true revelations from their respective monotheistic supreme god. These are considered "revelations" that are stated in the Jewish Torah and in the Christian New Testament, sources that establish each religion's version of their respective "ultimate truth."

In Judaism, the prohibitions against witchcraft include Exodus 22:18, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live", and in Deuteronomy 18:10-11, "There must not be found among you anyone... practicing divination, or soothsaying, observing omens, applying sorcery, neither a charmer, a medium, a wizard, or a necromancer."

In Christianity, the prohibitions include Galatians 5:19-20 (King James Version) in listing "acts of sinful nature" which included the "worship of idols and witchcraft...", and in Revelations 21:8 that lists those destined for Hell which includes those that "practice witchcraft." There are others, but you get the idea.

But the funny thing is while these are stated, Gnostics, Sufis, and Kabbalistics happily continue with their practices. Hmmmm... makes you wonder who wrote all those revelations.

Anyway, these are just some examples of Jewish and Christian intolerance and myopic thinking that is incongruous to the higher ideals of pagan spirituality or energywork in general. On another side note, its also kind of hypocritical for strict monotheists to practice yoga as yoga is actually a spiritual practice that enables one to awaken Kundalini energy, connect with one's higher soul and beyond for soul realization etc. Again, these is against what their religion teaches them.

For Buddhism, Taoism and Hinduism, they are more tolerant of energywork. Probably due to the ancient arts of QiGong, Tai Chi, Ayuverda, Acupuncture and meditations in general etc that uses and manipulates chi and thus the concept of energywork is already prevalent in eastern cultures and their religions. Hence usually there is no problem with buddhist, Hindus, Taoist etc practicing energywork. In fact Taoism is known to have many mystical (Tantric) teachings. Tibetan Buddhism is steep with pagan rituals and mystical arts.

2) There are many reasons why it is not logical to try to combine Mainstream Monotheistic religion with energywork. In fact, many members of both sides (Lightworkers vs. Christians and Jews) would consider a practice that combined energywork with Christianity, Islam, or Judaism with strong disapproval and even disgust. The main problem is the impossible task of accommodating directly conflicting fundamental beliefs. Unless, the monotheism practitioner is a Gnostic, Sufi, Kabalistic or an old soul that "knows".

3) Most traditional crafters are pagans or non-monotheist. We do subscribe to a supreme God but at the same time, we do recognize the presence of Deities, Nature or Earth spirituality. Monotheists traditionally are somewhat fearful of Nature and to Earth spirituality because of Nature's closeness to the gods or demigods. Of course, they would use the word, demons. To my amusement, some of them even erroneously referred to Kundalini energy as satanic. Monotheists approach nature with a great deal of apprehension specifically as a reaction to classical Neoplatonism of the Greco-Roman world and to ancient pagan civilization which exhibited a superior culture and a higher level of spirituality based on love, rather than the fear Monotheists needed to generate to herd people into their churches, mosques or synagogue. Christians (Catholics) considered Nature as the domain of demons, which they considered to be evil spirits. However, the word "demon," is Greek for "spirit" not evil spirit. The Christians were affraid of spirits even though each person has a spirit, a.k.a.soul. This type of anti-rationalism is what helped to drove Europe into the Dark Ages.

4) Christians are monotheists, at least according to them. Classical Neoplatonists of ancient Greece and Rome questioned this idea as being ludicrous. Monotheism is defined as the belief in one supreme god. However, in Christianity, their one supreme god was declared to be three gods-in-one, a so-called "trinity" in the third century, C.E. That is 300 hundred years AFTER their Jesus lived. (Which means he never heard about a "trinity" and presumably would not approve.)

This trinity godhead is made up of 1) God the Father, 2) His "only begotten son" Jesus Christ, and 3) The Holy Ghost. This threesome may not sound like a monotheistic religion (because if you count them, there are three). Nevertheless, since the third century C.E., Christians have insisted that a trinity godhead is not polytheism. As a side note: Roman Emperor Julian Augustus called the Christian trinity, "the three-headed monster."

In any event, paganism and monotheism are not compatible. Another side note here: Paganism does not necessarily mean that you subscribe to many different gods. It's more like you recognize that there are different higher beings like the Boddhisattvas, Ascended Masters that you can seek guidance from apart from God, Jesus or the angels.

5) Pagans take very strong exception to the Christian idea that "God's only begotten son is Jesus Christ." This makes no sense as we believe we are all the sons and daughters of God.

6) Another claim in both Judaism and Christianity is the demand that their faithful follow no other god than the one their religious authorities approve. With this one point alone, it's obvious that the concepts of deity in Judaism / Christianity and those in Traditional craft hopelessly irreconcilable.

7) Then there are those other Christian (and other monotheists) pesky details, like:

• The expectation of being repentant of "sin",

• The disbelief in reincarnation, and

• The belief in the devil, otherwise known as Satan.

These are but three bizarre Christian beliefs that have no place in energywork because they are incompatible with traditional spirituality or any form of true spiritual growth for that matter.

8) Besides, those of us who have spirituality at heart could never accept Jesus as a "savior." While we acknowledge and recognize that Jesus is an Avatar, an Ascended Master, a great teacher, we do not see him as a savior per se. Simply put, we do not believe we are in need of being saved by anyone. In fact, most Lightworkers would find the very idea absurd and arrogant. Contrary to the christian approach, we view Jesus (and the rest) as a great being, a great teacher, a great Avatar whom we would turn to for spiritual guidance, help etc. For us, accepting Jesus into our lives means we accept his teachings and spiritual guidance. His sacrifice was so that humanity would move to the next level of evolution and he moves to his next level on the Bodhisattva path that he was on. It is absolutely absurd to suggest that we get to go to heaven only through him. 

Therefore, it would be wise that if you are a mainstream monotheists, you should select One Path that jives with you in order to avoid inner conflict within yourself. However, usually, if you are attracted to energywork without being repulsed by it, it means that in one of your past lives, you have either done it before or been exposed to the good side of it i.e. healing work.

Anyone can learn energywork but Energywork is not for everyone. So, if you're on the fence and you feel you don't really know what to do, then that is perfectly fine. Take time and think about what is in your heart. Only you can decide what is best for you.

If Islam, Judaism or Christianity (or Catholicism) is deeply meaningful to you, then live a Moslem, Jewish or Christian life. Good people are in every religion.


On another side note here...For us Lightworkers, we are "indifferent" to monotheist religions. We consider these religions out-of-tune with the true nature of the universe. Therefore, for christianity, it is mostly ignored, especially today as the clergy have little political power. While Islamic clergy does have considerable political influence in their respective countries, it is also still generally ignored by Lightworkers. So, being indifferent to monotheists religions is an attitude among Lightworkers and in my opinion it is the best approach. But that doesn't mean we are doormat to be stepped on... Trust me, if you overly-offend a Lightworker and thus invoke his/her wrath, you may suddenly find unexplainable things happening to you... Let me clarify that the destructive energies will not be from the Lightworker but from the aggressor (in this case, you). Shields can be extremely powerful at repelling negative/destructive energies. I've seen how one person was almost destroyed (literally) by his own doing for picking on the wrong Lightworker. All the Lightworker needed to do was put up a shield but the aggressor stupidly continued his attacks for months. He almost died as a result and had to be saved by other Lightworkers... Sending destructive energies once or twice to a shield only to have it repelled automatically back to you may result in you not feeling anything since most of us are not trained to feel energy anyway, but if you keep at it everyday for months... sigh... trust me... it's a stupid thing to do. There are better ways to kill yourself. :-)

Magic and Mysticism

According to the Spirit Project, the spiritual history of man reveals two distinct and fundamental views towards the unseen; and two methods whereby he has sought to get in touch with it. They represent the opposite poles of the same thing: the transcendental consciousness of humanity.The fundamental difference between the two is this: magic wants to get, and mysticism wants to give. Both magic and mysticism bring together the conscious and unconscious and both claim to give their users supernatural powers unknown and unavailable to the masses. In mysticism, the will is united with the emotions with the common goal of transcending the sense-world, in order that the self may be joined with the soul. In magic, the will unites with the intellect with the goal of obtaining celestial knowledge. 

How to Use Either? 

We are all children of the earth, and on this planet we have to stand with both feet on the ground, and our goal can only be to strive for being more willing - to accept what our life is. This takes a certain level of maturity and of personal responsibility, and therefore especially young people who still have to deal with 'arriving' in the real world are in danger. It would be a giant step for them if they would learn to include their intuition in their daily routine. Because the intuition that every person possesses leads us in the direction to the questions that, once we are more mature and experienced, go deeper and can open new levels. 

More to Intuition:  

Many grown-ups close their minds to this intuition as well, or they have lost it, or are afraid of it. Yet they long for a meaningful life, everyone does. It's not always the big things that change one's life, small coincidences can cause a change of direction, they just fall in your lap. Many a time we only realize their meaning later, that they have led us to a new partner, a new job or a new appartment. And everybody knows the intuitiv feeling of unease when doing something you don't want to do. And how many times we do not listen to this impulse, but decide to do the 'normal', the 'rational'? These are the roots to this ancient knowledge, the connection to the spiritual world that so many people try to reach through meditation, palmistry or reading of the cards and the like. And then the big disappointment when 'nothing' happens. It is vital to know that everybody has to find his or her own, individual access, it is not searching but finding as all knowledge is already there. It's in everyone of us. So the only way to receive results is to be willing to sense the wish to lead an authentic, to lead your own life. 

Are there Teachers?

There are people who can help us with this task, but the responsibility can't be passed on to and can't be taken on by anyone. Find your own way, make your own unmistakable steps and believe in yourself. Don't trust in charlatans and so-called 'knowing people' who try to tell you how you have to live your life. Only YOU and you alone can find your meaning of life. It's not easy and there is no cure-all for this no matter what people say. It's difficult, very difficult to find your way. And there will be setbacks, doubts and anxiety. But you will progress. If you want to create your life according to your inner plan you can make it. Emotional and or spiritual dependance on other people can never lead to freedom. Words are only words if you don't belief in what others preach. Set out to find your plan of life and be aware of the fact that you will have to learn how to walk, just like a child. To stumble, to fall and to get up again, there is no getting round it, but there will be an invisible hand to help. However you call this hand, rely on it.

Power of Manifestation - energy perspective

Why do some people seem to be able to manifest better than others? To these people, manifestation just come naturally. Whatever they want just comes to them. In some cases it is like magic or the universe conspiring with them to give them everything they want. Whereas for some others, manifestation is like next to impossible. They just cannot get what they want. Or the opposite of what they want manifests instead. Ever wondered why?


Well.. I'm no expert but I believe it can be explained from an energy perspective. Let's look at our chakras first. The chakra responsible for manifestation (well, at least from a work perspective) is the basic chakra. It is located at the bottom of the spine.


People with strong manifestation abilities have strong basic chakras and like wise, people with weak manifestation abilities have weak basic chakras. Well, there are exceptions to the norm i.e. certain beings may be able to manipulate energy but that is besides the point. Those are of a different school and well, they've learnt certain arts. But even then, their basic chakras still do play a role. But what I am talking about here is the average Joe. 


For the average Joe (or Jane), our basic chakra plays an important role. So what sets the people who manifest easily apart from those who have difficulty manifesting? Surely something sets them apart. Well, there is....


Think of our chakras like muscles. The more you exercise them, the stronger they get. So for the basic chakra, the more you use it, the stronger and more powerful it gets. How then do you use it and strengthen it? Well.. you can start by meaning what you say. Surprise?


Successful people
Think of it... look at successful people out there. I mean really successful people who made their money by their own grit (blood and sweat). I do not mean those who inherit it. Nor do I mean those who got it through ill means. Successful people's words have power. They say it and its like the whole universe conspires with them to deliver what they want to them. And the thing about these people is that they always mean what they say. Their word is their honor. When they say they will do something, they will do it. There is no mucking around. They go out and do it and get it done. They just mean what they say. If such a person gives you his/her word, you almost feel like you know this person is going to deliver to his/her best ability. 


Unsuccessful people
On the other hand, look at unsuccessful people who seem stuck or those who think the whole world owes them a living etc. Most of them are just looking for handouts. They say they want to change their lives but when shown the task they have to do they start giving excuses. They are always looking at blaming someone for their predicament. It's always someone else's fault. And... they also don't mean what they say. Their word has no honor and no power. They say they will do something but almost always never get it done. Or if they do get it done, it is after being chased for countless times. And when chased (bugged) to do it, they do finally do it, but reluctantly so. Well, if you weren't going to do it, why say you will do it. 


Increasing our manifestation ability
Ever gave much thought to this? So how do we increase our ability to manifest? Well... there are many ways like the law of attraction, energy manipulation etc etc. But the most basic fundamental is honoring your words. The next time you say you will do something, make sure you do it. When you start to mean what you say, your basic chakra starts to expand. The opposite happens when you say you will do something but later do not do it. But if you are a person who has difficulty following up on your words with action, then start with something small. There is no point setting yourself up to fail. Start with something small first like say... doing the dishes when you say you will. That is a simple enough task I believe. Well, if it's not, I'm sure you can find something. Start with something small and easy and then work your way up. And never ever start something you already know you will have difficulty committing and following up with.
