Energy!

I've mentioned Energy so many times I think I want to write just a short article on this huge subject. I say short but I wonder if I can keep it short :-)

Shaolin Martial Arts 

Like I've said before, under a powerful microscope, we're pure energy... energy with consciousness and we are all interconnected in one big energy field. And when I say big energy field, our mind tends to focus on Earth alone. No no. I mean BIG energy field i.e. the Whole Universe and ALL parallel Universes (if they exist. I'm sure they do). In other words, everything. There is no in here nor is there an out there. We are all part of the I AM THAT I AM.


You see, if you look at certain unexplainable things from the energy (or chi, Ki, life force, Prana etc etc) perspective, they can be explained or reasoned out.


Energy effects everything and therefore all the following can be explained:-

Acupuncture

Martial arts
We use inner force/chi/Ki in martial arts to self heal and kill others. ChiGong, TaiChi, and Aikido use chi so extensively you can almost "see" it in their moves (figuratively). Taekwondo, Karate, chinese KungFu, Indian kalaripayat etc all use chi to build inner strength and they learn killing points as these points deliver massive surges of chi into a body that the opponent can't take it. Also as practitioners of martial arts can attest to, if they learn the wrong way, they may end up with kundalini syndrome (or as we call it in Cantonese "cao for yap mor"). Basically to put it in simple terms, the body's chi go haywire ;p .

Fengshui compass

Traditional Medical practice
Acupuncture, acupressure, ayuverda, shiatsu, massage, etc use various methods to move chi (or ki, Prana etc) to heal and cure diseases or just for simple stress relieve.


Environology
The term Environology was coined by MINGS founder David Koh to describe fengshui. Environology also includes Vaastu sastra which is the Indian version of Fengshui. Environology describes the flow of energy based on changing surroundings in land, terrain, and even planetary movements (every planet has gravitational pull and this effects our surrounding chi).

Pranic Healing

Energy healing
Pranic healing, reiki, and many more different healing schools use energy for healing. Most of them without physical contact and transcends space and even maybe even time. You can be in US, your healer can be in Taiwan, and he/she can send you healing energies as long as you allow it and are receptive to it.

Ginseng

Herbal medicinal practice
I can't remember what this traditional practice is called but they use the chi from herbs to heal or use herbs to effect certain movements of chi to cure ailments. Ginseng is one herb that has tremendous chi value.


Magic

Magic

How can I forget my favorite subject :-). The art of manipulation of energy using the elements, tools and intent. In a way, it should be put together with no.4 but I've intentionally separated them because energy healing is white magic used for healing. But white magic is not energy healing. Get it? Magic is an art, encompassing both white and black magic and it can apart from healing (or harming if black magic) also be used to manifest things/events for good (Light) or evil (Darkness) purposes. And yes it transcends space and time.

Psychic abilities
The ability to use the latent powers of the mind to tap into energy fields etc


Law of attraction
The power surrounding us that if we tap into it and use it, we can attract all that we want to us... and vice versa if you are a negative person (and we wonder why shit happens). It's all energy. Like attracts like. Your energy configuration will attract events and other people with the same pattern (or frequency if you prefer) to you.

Meditation

Yoga and meditation
To put it simply, both these spiritual practices in their various forms and schools move energy within us to cleanse our various levels of bodies, bring divine energy down from above onto our energy bodies, awaken the kundalini within us and eventually achieve illumination/enlightenment (or whatever you want to call it). This is probably why lower yogas focuses on various physical postures and then higher yogas include different meditation techniques. As my understanding, our physical body needs to be cleansed before our other bodies (emotional body, mental body etc).


Astrology/Numerology

Astrology

If DNA is our physical blueprint, then Astrology/Numerology is our spiritual blueprint to put it in simple terms. Our energy configuration that make us who we are as individuals. This sets us apart from others even though we are all energy beings with no in here nor out there. Some traits are set at birth, other traits can be changed, and our energy configuration attracts certain type of energies to us (read as events). From higher perspective, this to me is basically what you said you want to learn before you came down here. Of course, IMHO there is always free will and karma.

Channelising

Channelising, Mediums
Channelising information (energy) from a higher being through a Channeler/medium to the inquirer. Our configurations (believe system, context, subconscious etc) pretty much sets us in certain direction. Thus the higher being, taps into our energy and hence the "DVD" and delivers the future potential outcome to us thru the medium. But of course, if you keep growing your context, your energy
configuration keeps changing, and the poor medium would be getting different readings every different visit you ask him lol (my opinion of course)


Spirits etc
How can I forget these kind of energy beings. Energy with consciousness but without solid physical appearance. They are everywhere. We ask angels to help us don't we?


Aliens(!?)
If Earth is just a speck in a vast universe and our souls are energy beings of light created from the One Source to experience itself whether in physical form or not, it's kinda logical that there are souls from the same One Source who are doing the same thing at other parts of the universe. Some are lower in evolution to us, some are higher in evolution. And I'm sure we would be getting such visitors from the stars more openly in the coming years (I certainly hope I'm still around when they openly do ala Star Trek / Star Wars instead of hush hush :p ).

Prayer

Prayer
Oh how can I forget this. When we pray, or invoke to a higher power, we get divine energies from above down pouring onto and into us. Done properly, it's like yoga, meditation. This explains why some priest, monks etc get so sexed up. So much divine energies coming into them that their kundalini is awaken and it can't flow up properly to their crown, they just get so horny and don't know why. So sodomy, secret tryst etc ;p wink wink.
