What are young and old souls?

All souls comes forth from the One Source (or God or whatever we want to call it) to do whatever work it sets out to do (or experience its creation if you prefer) before eventually returning to the One Source. In its journey it may take multiple physical incarnations (like we change our clothes everyday) until it completes its work.

The how long does the soul "live"?Good question. The concept of time does not exist to the soul but imho IF you can measure it, it's "lifetime" would be "for as long as it needs or chooses". Some souls have been around for a very very long time and have taken many many physical reincarnations hence they are old souls. Whereas some souls have not been around for a long time and haven't had that many physical reincarnations hence are young souls.

Old souls, having been "around town", tend to have many baggages with them whether karmic and/or countless past experiences. When I say baggages I don't mean it in the negative aspect. I mean it in the neutral aspect i.e. both the positive and negative. So in any physical incarnations, they may have stronger intuitions that can tell them if something is not quite right or something that is said is The Truth (for example) and they feel that somehow they knew that. In their physical incarnation, they may not know why their intuition tells them so, they just know it does. Well... we don't have that luxury of remembering what we have experienced in our previous lifetimes. Of course...it is said that a child between 2-5 years old can probably get glimpses of his/her past life before their present physical world's environment buries it. Staunch religious people would say "influence from the devil". Oh puhleeezzz. What a load of bullshit. Well.. You are a young soul ;p

Anyway... from my understanding, old souls, if they've been reincarnating as say human beings (who said you cannot reincarnate as another being on another planet ;-p) many physical lifetimes, tend to look physically more attractive or some say they exudes a certain aura around them. Well, this is probably because since they have taken physical form so many lifetimes, their physical bodies have become more "perfected" so to speak. That doesn't mean they stay attractive in that physical lifetime because they can always stupidly abuse themselves.

And old souls are not easy to bullshit because they've been around. Their intuition (past experience/knowledge and not dogma) serves them. If they come across something they have done many many times before in past lifetime(s), they may just be able to pick it up and complete it with ease and wonder why others can't. And chances are they've had plenty of encounters with magic or some form of the woo woo stuff (not necessarily true). If they've dabbled with it before in a previous lifetime, then chances are if they are exposed to it again, they would dive into it like fish-into-water. The likelihood is also that they will not subscribe to any single religion blindly. They will maintain a discerning mind that they can or cannot explain. So yeah, they may be introduced to say...Christianity, Islam, Buddhism etc etc but their practice would tend to be moderate and they would subconsciously agree that all rivers lead to the ocean and they are in it for the prophet's teachings (which is the same across the board for ALL religions) and not be fanatical blind followers. However, I think the tendency is to be officially of a religion, but technically a free thinker.

Of course, these are my opinions it may not apply to all old souls. But I believe it is generally yes.

Young souls on the other hand are relatively new. They have only just recently set forth from the One Source. Hence not accumulated much experiences/knowledge yet but growing as they should. However being "young" they may not subconsciously have the data bank to rely on to intuitively tell them whether something is The Truth or not. They are thus also more susceptible to brainwashing to become fanatics or blind followers. They are the ones whom would say my way is the only way. All other ways are wrong ways. Generally speaking but not necessarily true for all of course.

In some cases, as I understand it, young souls in human incarnation may exhibit animalistic features since they may not have evolved into human form from the animal kingdom that long ago. Of course this doesn't mean we all have to go through reincarnation as animals first before being human. I don't quite agree with that view in Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism. I think it is more of the soul's journey and "mission". But I could be wrong.

However I do think that young souls are easier to blindside. Though not all young souls are because it also depends on other factors. Of course this also doesn't mean an old soul can't be. For example: an old soul may have certain karmic seeds within that carries lessons of discernment and thus if they fail to exercise discernment when certain events happen, they end up blindsided which means "oops you didn't learn your lesson".

The possibility of a young soul experiencing magic (or any other woo woo stuff) is also slimmer hence their tendencies to dismiss it or such talk blowing completely over their head. Old souls on the other hand may not fully comprehend but somehow can understand and accept it. If you follow what I'm saying. However young souls may still get drawn to the woo woo stuff for personal glory, ego, or just plain curiosity for example.

Please do not misunderstand that I am belittling young souls. No. All old souls were young souls once. I'm just stating the possible differences. All souls (young and old) are here to "learn" (or complete certain work if you prefer) and experience it's creation.
